The South Brisbane Federal Band is one of Australia’s finest Brass Bands. Formed in 1912 and based on Brisbane’s South Side, this 28 player ensemble features some of the most talented and dedicated brass and percussion musicians in the country. The Feds are a highly competitive ensemble in Regional, State and National Competitions at the Prestigious “A” Grade Level and regularly win or place well at these events.
This competitive drive is offset by, and complementary to our other passion, Performing. We love nothing more than to get out and play in the public eye. Whether it’s a light show in the park on a Sunday afternoon or a Major Works concerts at one of Brisbane’s amazing first class venues, you’ll always find The Feds out somewhere entertaining.
